About

Greetings, and welcome to my blog for Asian and Asian-related film reviews/analyses and entertainment news. I’m Max, your Time Life Operator, and I’ll do my best to fill this blog with a variety of new, classic, and obscure reviews for movies that you may never have heard of but should (or should not) check out. I’m a teacher and forever a student of film, with a master’s degree in Communication & Journalism from Auburn University. Does that give my reviews more credence than others? Yes. I mean no! That in itself merely explains the foundations for my viewpoints, where I’m coming from. To put it bluntly, I have a passion for Asian cinema, and I want to share my appreciation for these films with others who’d like to learn more. Asian films are underrepresented in the West and marginalized in favor of subpar remakes, a sad state of affairs when the most talented filmmakers that come from Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other countries are indeed the best at what they do. Enjoy, and please leave comments!
